Kim Kardashian arrives in sheer gown for the 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards

Kim Kardashian continued to show off her trim figure as she lead the glamour at the star-studded CFDA Awards held at Cipriani South Street in New York. The reality TV star turned business entrepreneur, 42, showed off her disappearing curves clad in a sleeveless black PVC bustier-style Dolce & Gabbana gown with a transparent bottom, paired with her own SKIMS underneath.

Kim wore her long platinum tresses slicked back and flowing down her back in a wet look. As for glam, the SKIMS founder sported a nude lip and drew attention to her eyes with a touch of black eyeliner. Kanye West’s ex-wife paired the stylish ensemble with clear heels, and wore no other accessories for the night.

The mother-of-four was awarded the first-ever Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion for her shapewear brand SKIMS, but she also reminded us of her latest high fashion collaboration. Her dress is from the Ciao Kim Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2023 Collection.

Kim was curator for the line, and chose archive pieces from the 80s, 90s and 00s to be reworked for the latest collection. “Fashion relies on true visionaries to push the envelope and propel our industry forward,” CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said in a press release in October.

“With Skims, Kim, Emma, and Jens have pioneered new technology in the process of reinventing the concept of solutions-oriented shapewear.”

After launching in 2019, Kim’s SKIMS not only offers pieces in various shades of “nude” to complement a wide range of skin tones but the brand also features size-inclusive styles from XXS to 5X. Plus, the line has children’s clothing and unisex options.

“Everything was important to me of all shades and colors,” the 42-year-old told E! News in 2019. “I was honestly shocked that it didn’t exist.” And this isn’t the first time Kim has earned praise from the CFDA, as they honored her with the Influencer Award in 2018.
